Today I received my email from Microsoft to say that I’d been awarded as an MVP for the 13th straight year, for my focus on Small Business community. Thank you Microsoft. Thank you to all those that I’ve helped over the years as well, because if not for your questions I would have nothing to contribute. If not for your feedback, I’d have nothing to take to Microsoft save for my own thoughts.
For those that are not aware of what an MVP is, it’s basically an award that Microsoft have given out for over 20 years now to those community contributors that they feel are at the highest in their game globally for their contributions towards supporting Microsoft products. The contributions come in many ways, online support forums, support mailing lists, blogs/websites focused on providing information to the community, in person public speaking events and so on. I feel privileged to be part of the MVP community for so long. Below is a photo of some products on our office wall. Included in them is a product called BackOffice Small Business Server – this is the original SBS 1.0 and the product that lead me to the community. In fact this box itself was THE first SBS box product I ever sold at Correct Solutions.
To add a little levity, here’s a video that Microsoft did many years ago for the MVP summit. What do I feel as an MVP??? I feel GREAT!!
