I’ve seen this on a couple of sites now, but the dataservicecomponent.log file grows quite large on SBS 2008 and SBS 2011.
- Ensure that the SBS console is closed first of all
- Stop the Windows SBS service via the Services MMC
- Navigate to the C:\Program Files\Windows Small Business Server\Logs\MonitoringServiceLogs folder
- Delete the dataservicecomponents.log file
- Start the Windows SBS service via the Services MMC again.
