About this site

This site is all about providing a single location with as much good quality information on the Microsoft SMB Server products as I can.  I’m aiming to make as much of it as possible free of charge to the community. At the same time I believe there is a genuine need for more in-depth information which you will find via the books, training and consulting that I offer.

This site runs on WordPress with a MYSQL backend all on top of Windows Server 2008 x64.  The server runs on a private cloud virtualised platform with a local Australian company that ensures my website remains on Australian soil.  I’ve built the virtual server guest myself on top of virtualisation technology so that I can move them around at the drop of a hat if needs / disaster recovery is needed. 

This site would not be possible without the efforts of a number of other small business that I use to help me bring this all together.  My most heart felt thanks go out to these amazing people.

Sarah East is my wonderful graphic designer and is responsible for the look and feel of the site. She’s been able to capture my desires and help me craft a site that I think looks a million times better than anything I’ve been able to do in the past. Naturally being a small business owner herself I’ve found her to be very responsive to my needs and meeting impossible deadlines has been very appreciated! Solutions Outsourced – Mark and Adrian are the two key members of the team that have helped me bring the graphics into reality. Mark provided the learned ear and project management skills, whilst Adrian took the graphic design that Sarah created from flat graphics into a WordPress template that really works.  He’s even put up with me fiddling around with it to make it “just right”
