| | This is a very big hole that needsto be filled. |
| |
| | There is a need for specific types of files and areas in these facilities to be virus scannable. |
| |
| | yes please to SharePoint protection on SBS networks |
| |
| | A/V for sharepoint is important, but must be SBS sized pricing. |
| |
| | Additional $10 a node for a packaged CSM node (with spyware component added as well) would be a nice rounded product for SBS market. However, Trend need to focus on strengthening their current Anti-spam and and Spy-ware products they already ship to this market space prior to adding more bells to their line. I have clients seriously questioning Trends ability to effectively manage spam or spyware and are looking to other third party providers if Trend's new v3.5 does not answer all their prayers |

| | Waiting for a comprehensive AV solution suite to inlude Sharepoint, or we will be forced to use some one who gets it. |
| |
| | $ is per seat |
| |
| | All my sites are SBS Premium so would prefer simpler integration of Interscan VirusWall for ISA with CSM (?CSMI) for SMB |
| |
| | Antigen has had an AV for Sharepoint Portal for some time. |
| |
| | I just asked my boss about this. He said "sharepoint is important to us, so we would be willing to pay for it (less than $500), but there would need to be a real issue there" because I explained to him that files will be scanned at each computer when they are opened from Sharepoint anyway(please correct me if I'm wrong in this). Also, an interesting point that I just found out is that I can actually map drive letters to sharepoint folders and make AVG scan them. |
| |
| | Would love it to be part of a bundle.
At some sides they would only regard the value as around $200, at others they could see about $1000 of value. |
| |
| | I'd like to see the Sharepoint protection included in the CSM product. Perhaps as counting for 1 license, requiring an extra $45 or so. |
| |
| | if the sharepoint av is part of a suite it will be a major selling point for that software compared to their competitors. This is one of the issues invloved with sharepoint not be used at more sites where it is installed.

| | Have approached Trend UK about rolling sharepoint AV in to CSMS SMB, but to no avail. Their issue appeared to be that rolling another (existing) product in to CSMS for SMB marginalised that product as a standalone. How about how that decision marginalises Trend CSMS SMB for SMB users?
The lack of sharepoint AV in Trend holds me back from implementing sharepoint to a wider audience. Not great. |
| |
| | SharePoint AV should be part of the server AV.
Exchange is included in SMB AV product, so should SharePoint. |
| |
| | 60-100 per licence for av |
| |
| | With the SharePoint Services 3 releasing and features like recycle bin being added. We will be moving all shared drive data to the new repository. |
| |
| | I would suggest that this should be a partof server protect as a kind of agent. I would suggest we make sharepoint a network place or mapped drive and scan it. I wold be conserned doing this with the current products as they might screw up SQL.

| | As a MCT I get asked questions on every Sharepoint course/IIS/Small Business Server courses on what AV software is available for Sharepoint. As I am currently running a large number of SBS courses particularly, an AV solution for Sharepoint Services 2 & 3 would most certainly be beneficial to a large number of my customers/clients. |
| |
| | I would like to see it as 'included' the Anti Virus packages promote as being SBS packages and Sharepoint is part of SBS. |
| |
| | As the security suite anti-virus product is aimed at the SBS market I would expect the suite to already scan sharepoint content. As real-time scaning is enabled I would also classify this as satisfactory protection. |
| |
| | cost is per seat |
| |
| | It needs to work a LOT better than the Symantec products are starting to. Less load and better stability. |
| |
| | Many sites do not currently use Sharepoint and therefore would not pay extra for it. Remember also that Sharepoint is free so it is hard to charge for anything related to it. |
| |
| | We tried Trend last year, but opted for CA instead. |
| |
| | Generally very reliable, but latest versions getting a few more problems with all the new web consoles etc |
| |
| | didn't think I needed Sharepoint specific anti-virus, so far as I know the Sharepoint files are being scanned by Symantec. Besides which, the Sharepoint site is only used locally. |
